MR. JON LEWIS, President/Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Jon Lewis is President/CEO of Partners International. He was previously with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) where he served in various positions for 26 years, including missionary pilot in Africa, and most recently as Vice President of Research and Planning.

Mr. Lewis was a missionary pilot in Zaire before becoming MAF Regional Manager for all of Africa, responsible for six countries, 25 aircraft, and approximately 75 staff. Later his roles included Director of Research, leading Strategic Planning, and designing and implementing MAF’s new Ministry Effectiveness Evaluation process.

Raised by missionaries to Portugal, Mr. Lewis attended high school in St. Paul, Minn., and went on to become the first student at Bethel College (also in St. Paul) to complete a Physics Major. He earned a Masters degree at the University of Minnesota, and began a Ph.D. to pursue a career with the NASA space program. But following a summer in Africa where he first witnessed MAF in action, Mr. Lewis decided to begin MAF flight training instead.

CARLOS CALDERON, Vice President, International Ministries
Carlos grew up in war-torn El Salvador. As a young man, he served as a youth pastor at his church, Iglesia Nazaret, led at the time by Argentinean Luis Bush who later became the President of Partners International and director of the AD2000 movement. After completing his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, Carlos returned to El Salvador where he coordinated Mission '84, the first international missions conference in Central America. This conference helped spark a missionary movement across South America. After marriage, Carlos and his wife returned to Texas where they both earned masters degrees to qualify them to move to Turkey where they served as leaders of a church-planting team among Muslims. This proved to be an invaluable experience for his future role with Partners International as Area Director for the Middle East and North Africa. He served in this role from 1991 to 2006. Currently, Carlos serves as Vice President of International Ministries directing the work of our more than 100 indigenous ministry partners in 57 countries.

AREA DIRECTORS
Our efforts in each of nine regions of the least Christian world are led by an Area Director, an expert in the people, culture, politics, and religion of that region. Based throughout the world in places like Cambodia, Senegal, and Singapore, Area Directors have "on the road" jobs, working alongside our indigenous ministries to develop strategies, set goals, and find the most effective solutions to problems. Our Area Directors are extremely knowledgeable about Christian ministries for the parts of the world in which they serve and have a wide array of expertise serving as pastors, missionaries, businessmen, and mission leaders. Their goal, with careful planning and prayer, is to work alongside our partners to see God's Kingdom expanded in the least Christian regions.
